Join us for a service event at the Humanist Community Center!
We'll volunteer our time on several projects to benefit the neighbors in our communities:
- Pack hygiene essentials for Atheists Helping the Homeless Phoenix and HSGP's Little Free Pantry!
- Help make sleeping mats by turning grocery bags into plastic yarn. It's PLARN!
- Create harm reduction kits to get naloxone and fentanyl strips to those who need them!
- Make handmade cards with uplifting messages and stickers to include with giveaway items!
Our service projects provide opportunities for volunteers of all ages to lend a helping hand. Come together with your family for an afternoon of serving neighbors in need!
Want to give more? Please support our projects by bringing along some needed donations:
- Plastic grocery bags for making plarn
- Non-perishable food and bottle water for the Little Free Pantry
- Click style pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters for Threadz Resource Center

This free resource provides Tempe students the items they need to attend school and be ready to learn. They offer a wide selection of clothing and shoes, personal hygiene items, and school supplies.
The core of SPW's work is to support individual people through overdose education, naloxone and supply distribution, HIV and hepatitis C testing, and their harm reduction outreach program. They work at the local and state levels to change policies and regulations that impact people who use drugs and their communities.
Many of our neighbors are experiencing hunger and homelessness, and the need for support is great. The Little Free Pantry at the Humanist Community Center offers a variety of items such as bottled water, vegetable juice, nuts, fruit cups, tuna, chili, rice, and pasta. Thanks to your help, the pantry now provides hygiene items and other needed essentials!
Meet the Event Sponsors
The Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix, the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, and Secular Coalition for Arizona are teaming up with the Secular Student Alliance to award deserving students with scholarships at the end of this school year!
Throughout the year, we will be connecting with high school and college students, providing resources for secular and intersectional activism, and collaborating on community service projects and civic engagement activities. Please join us to learn how you can get involved!
From the Ashes of Sober Faction is a peer support group that offers a Satanic approach to recovery from addiction. Sober Faction meetings assist those who are suffering from addiction in finding sobriety without having to experience the burden of religious dogma and superstition.
