Sunday Speaker Topic: Dr. James Adams – Autism and Gut Problems: Heal the Gut, Heal the Brain
Description:
The incidence of autism has rapidly increased, and now affects 5% of children in the US. Dr. Adams' new research reveals that almost all children with autism have extremely high levels of toxins from gut bacteria and yeast that affect brain and body function. These toxins also occur in people with seizures, Parkinson’s, Chronic Kidney Disease, and other health disorders.
A new treatment, Microbiota Transplant Therapy, is able to replace abnormal gut bacteria with bacteria from extremely healthy donors, and restore normal gut health and substantially improve autism-related symptoms and mental health. Similar treatments are being used to treat a wide range of other gut-brain disorders, including depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
