Topic: How can we learn how to talk to people who have extreme opposite views from us?

Gee, I wonder if anybody reading this is curious about this topic??? I am for sure. I would really love a great discussion on this as I'm sure that, as Humanists, we are quite capable of coming up with some great strategies. And in case anybody has missed it, this has been a bit of a challenge in this country for a while. Wouldn't it be nice to understand realistic/humanistic approaches to open and honest discussions that end in a positive light?

Do some research or bring your best knowledge on this topic and, if you find some related articles online, feel free to post them in the comments section on our Meetup page. If you want to save time, just check to see if anybody has already posted anything and start your research there.

If you are interested, a group of us like to go out to lunch afterward. We will wrap up the meeting around noon so you just might be hungry by then.

Hosted by Richard Dewey the first Saturday of each month.
