The Service and Participation Director is responsible for putting humanist values into action in ways that positively impact our communities and society as a whole. They foster helping others, increasing social awareness, and enhancing accountability.
In addition to driving the direction of the organization, the Service and Participation Director is also responsible for:

Inspiring the board and membership to be leaders and take ownership of planning events, creating task forces and special projects, and hosting regular programs.

Directing community service initiatives to improve the quality of life for our neighbors.

Developing coalition relationships and expanding the community throughout the Greater Phoenix area.

Identifying HSGP members as potential candidates for Board of Directors chair and co-chair positions, board committees, and other special committees.

Leading a Service and Participation Committee to help with these responsibilities.
