Sunday Speaker - America And Your Rights: An Attorney Teaches You How To Fight Authoritarianism

Description:
My Rights, your Rights, who is right? America is about our “freedom” and rights – that’s what we say. But what about when your “right” bumps into someone else’s “right”? Or, how about when your political right bumps their political left?
The Rule of Law, the Constitution, the 14th Amendment – all of it – “protects us!” and our rights and lefts. But as Renee Good and Alex Pretti found, they won’t stop a bullet. So, how do we confront authoritarians and stay safe?
Robert McWhirter will trace the history of rights in America and present concrete practical examples from his decades of criminal defense practice on how to interact with authority both legit and illegit!
