Sunday Speaker – Engaging With Capitalism

Sunday Speaker - Engaging With Capitalism

Description:

Within a capitalist economy, the ways in which we approach monetary matters often carries an ethical connotation. As individuals, and consumers, we often feel limited in the ways we can adjust our spending habits to support our personal ideologies. For business owners and professionals, there are additional implications for how our actions can reflect our morals.
However, there is hope, and in this conversation will be exploring opportunities to create pathways towards ethical economic engagement within an era of late stage capitalism. From shifting our spending to new ways of encouraging businesses to embrace community care, there are a number of actionable ways we, as humanists, can participate in an ethical way to create a better world.
Building a more supportive society is within our grasp and small changes can create large strides in a positive direction. Join us for a conversation about what we can be doing in our own lives to push for change and establish a more equitable and ethical world.
