*Many of us Humanists and Atheists can appreciate gospel music, especially as this portion is described:
"Join us as we gather in community to celebrate Juneteenth through the power of gospel music—not just as sound, but as our story.
Imagine this
Live music and performers singing the songs that carried us through slavery, the Great Migration, the Civil Rights Movement, and right into today’s fight for freedom.
Each harmony? A testimony.
Each verse? A chapter in our journey.
Each genre—from spirituals to hip-hop gospel—reminds us that Black folks have always used music to move mountains and make a way.
Curated and hosted by Muse, this evening unfolds like a sacred mixtape with personal storytelling, community reflection, and soul-stirring vocals from amazing voices in the Greater Phoenix community!
Expect
Live musical performances across genres
Storytelling between songs that connect the music to our roots
A praise break like no other
Communal joy, spirit, and freedom"
