Let’s Eat Geography!

Join us at Caribbean Palm Scottsdale

Everyone loves to eat, yes? Of course we do! Since we can't visit every country we study in our Let's Geography Meetups, we are doing the next best thing and sampling the local cuisine, when possible.

We just discussed the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda, whose people largely stay put and enjoy their year-round 82-degree weather, white sand beaches, and crystalline waters rather than come and open restaurants in places such as our very own devil's skillet in a broiler. Go figure.

Not to worry. We will meet and enjoy generic Caribbean food and put our New Year's low-carb resolutions to the test. I love dumplings, and I particularly love the idea of calling them spinners instead of dumplings. Spinners sounds so thin and active and graceful, while dumplings sounds round and dimpled and reluctant to get up off the couch.

Join us, won't you?

Please RSVP! Thank you!
