Food Security Project: Volunteer at Downtown Farmers’ Market

HSGP is humbly grateful to work with Project Roots in their passion for feeding people.

Join HSGP in a partnership with Project Roots, a non-profit organization based in Phoenix. Project Roots focuses on ways to educate the community about growing their own food through various educational programs. They support the homeless and those with food insecurities by feeding them from their local community gardens and mobile kitchen service. https://www.projectrootsaz.org/

Meet some Happy Humanists and have a good time doing good deeds at the Downtown Farmers' Market. We'll help with bringing juices, food, tables, and tent for set up. We will stay at the tables and greet visitors who walk by, offer produce by donation only, and then help with tear down.

RSVP on Meetup HERE, then be sure to check your Meetup messages for a contact mobile phone number and to see any updates for you.

When you arrive at the market, go to the information booth to find out the location of the Project Roots booth. Meet Mars and Jennifer there to sign a volunteer waiver and get started!

Bring water. Also, you may want to bring a hat and sunscreen.

Attendees limited to 5.
