z Fernandes is an Arizona-based electoral systems
reformer\, community organizer\, and nonprofit lea
der\, committed to building long-term civic infras
tructure and advancing equitable representation. H
e currently serves as the Executive Director of Vo
ter Choice Arizona and Better Ballot Arizona\, whe
re he leads local and statewide efforts to impleme
nt open primaries\, and ranked choice voting (RCV)
as well as defending reform pathways and direct d
emocracy through ballot measure campaigns.

p>Kazz is also the co-founder of BlackNet AZ- a no
nprofit focused on increasing connection and colla
boration within Black Arizona's ecosystem and work
ing to close resource gaps for Arizona's Black lea
ders. His emphasis on innovative problem-solving a
nd systems thinking is rooted in his engineering b
ackground and commitment to social justice.\n
