We love our members and, as a Secular Humanist community, we feel obligated to assist our members who may be having personal hardships. If you or someone you know is having a personal hardship and needs a friend to sit with them at the hospital, or needs assistance with yard work, or could use a home-cooked meal or something else, please let us know. We’re here for our members.
Do you or someone you know need help or support?
If you would like to request assistance from the Member Support Task Force, please fill out the form below. If you want to become involved with the task force, skip to the next section.
We may not be able to accommodate every request, but we do our best to help in anyway we can.
Thank you for taking an interest in this program and joining our already very successful team of handy and helpful Humanists. This is an extremely important group. A little help to someone in dire straights or on hard times can make a huge difference. We’re so happy you’d like to become directly involved in helping others. We wish we could give you a list of things and actions people need, but it varies on a case-by-case basis. Some of our previous interventions involved:
- hospital stays: visit sick or injured members
- meals: deliver meals to members who may be unable to get meals themselves
- house/yard work: assist members who are incapable of cleaning up
If you’d like to make a real difference, please fill out the following form, we’d love to have you on the team!
